Last Days: From Pentecost to Return

The term "Last Days" in Scripture has often been misunderstood as referring only to the final moments before Christ's return. However, the Bible teaches that the Last Days began at Pentecost and continue until Christ's Second Coming. This broader understanding carries significant implications for how we view both current times and the Gospel message itself. The Second Coming is not merely a motivational addendum to evangelism but rather forms an essential part of the Gospel proclamation, as Christ returns not only as Saviour but as Judge of all.

The God Who Steps In

The principle of uniformity—the idea that natural processes have always operated as they do today—stands in direct opposition to the Christian understanding of a God who actively intervenes in His creation. From the very beginning in Genesis, through to Christ's incarnation and sacrifice, to the promised new heavens and new earth, God demonstrates His supernatural involvement in human history. This truth forms the foundation of Christian faith and experience, where God continues to step into individual lives, offering forgiveness and relationship through His Son Jesus Christ.

The Cosmic Sacrifice of Christ

"If ever there were a topic, there was a topic, where there's so many details, and so many aspects, and so many different opinions, that's got you a bit confused, I guess it's mostly likely to be about the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The fact that the Scriptures teach that Christ is going to return is called the Second Advent. The First Advent, of course, is when He came at Christmastime and He came to be born, and the Second Advent is when He's coming to rule and to culminate the history up to that point of the entire world. And this is taught in the Scriptures in many different places, including the Old Testament, but certainly in the New Testament, so it's beyond doubt that Jesus Christ is going to come back again."
