For the Common Good

8th June 2025
The Bible teaches that the variety of gifts God gives to His church are each for "the common good". This means our abilities are not for our own glory, but to produce something in which we all share. When we focus on this shared purpose, we can rejoice together in what the Spirit of God is doing in our midst, creating a blessing for the whole community.

The Heart of Jesus for the Lost

22nd September 2024
Jesus' parable of the lost sheep reveals His unwavering commitment to seeking the lost, even at the expense of leaving the ninety-nine. This priority should shape the Church's mission, with every believer participating through their unique spiritual gifts. Whether through direct evangelism or supporting roles within the Church, all are called to be part of Christ's mission. A thriving church is marked by rich fellowship, expository preaching, and a unified focus on reaching the lost, reflecting Jesus' own heart and mission.

"And what you've got there in this Bible passage is not the very first dealings Jesus had with those who became his apostles, and not the final dealings that he had, which we were looking at this morning in the morning message, where he gave the great commission to them at the end of Matthew's Gospel."
