True success in God's work is never measured only in terms of human effort but by the evidence of His hand at work. Moses, though used greatly to lead Israel from bondage, faltered when he trusted his temper rather than God's instruction, revealing both the frailty of the flesh and the faithfulness of grace. Each believer faces the same inner conflict between flesh and Spirit, yet victory comes only as we keep in step with the Spirit who dwells within us. Christ alone can make the Christian life succeed, for He not only died for us but lives to empower us daily in His service.
